Little Tikes was founded in Ohio in 1970 by a man named Thomas G. Murdough. Murdough had started out at Wilson Sporting Goods before opening his own toy company. As a Wilson employee charged with marketing of the brand's Wonder Products subsidiary, Wilson saw a troubling pattern developing in toy marketing.
