Today's sandpits may lack the refractive charm possessed by your classic old world sandpits but you should try to remember that these things exist for a purpose. Sand pits are large indentations in the earth that are chock full of sand. No seriously, there is sand basically everywhere. Did you ever see that old cartoon The Flinstones? Well Fred Flinstone, bless his heart, worked in a gravel pit which is the same thing as a sand pit of today.
