It wasn't long before the racy shots once reserved for MySpace or Facebook pages made their way into text messages. Teens and young adults began taking scantily clad or nude photos of themselves and sending them to a (potential) boyfriend or girlfriend thus giving birth to a new phenomenon and slang word- 'sexting'.
